Sean Murphy U18 Head Coach

Before joining Orlando City Youth Soccer, Murphy enjoyed over 15 years of coaching within the NCAA Division I collegiate ranks. From 1992 to 1997 Murphy was an Assistant coach at Clemson University. During that time, Clemson won the Atlantic Coast Conference title (ACC), were ranked No. 1 in the country and appeared in multiple NCAA post-season tournaments.

In 1998 Murphy was appointed Head Coach at Stetson University, where he led the Spartans to the first of three Atlantic Sun Conference titles, and also a NCAA post-season appearance. Both accomplishments, during Murphy’s tenure, were done for the first time in the program’s 57 year history.

Murphy was also named the Atlantic Sun Conference Coach of the Year in 2001 and the Central Florida Intercollegiate Soccer Association Coach of the Year in 2006. Upon joining the Florida Rush in 2009, Murphy led his team to back to back Florida State Championships. Prior to coaching Murphy played professionally for Hampton Roads Mariners in the United States Soccer League and collegiately for Flagler College where he was an All-American.
